AMORPHIS – entrano nelle classifiche finlandesi al #1 e svelano l’ultima parte del documentario dallo studio
Canadian Thrashers TRISKELYON (ft. Hyperia, Artach members) Posts Visualizer For "Find A Way"
Today, they are sharing with fans a new visualizer for their track "Find A Way" featuring vocals from Pete Healey. The song is the band's most melodic of the three on their debut EP and has a bit more groove.
"The project formed in St. John's, Newfoundland. It began because I wanted an outlet for more melodic, yet still savage sounding thrashy metal. I wanted to do this as a studio project so I could get things together myself, which means I can do so fairly quickly if I want to. I did all the songs, wrote the lyrics, and play all the guitar and bass on the EP. I cannot play drums, so I found the fantastic Raul Marques. I wanted the vocals to be melodic so after I had the songs together I asked my vocal god friend, Pete Healey, to do some vocals. I sent him what I had and he was into it and you can hear him on tracks "Hunger" and "Find A Way". The last puzzle piece for the EP is Marlee Ryley – the very versatile vocalist for the killer Canadian band Hyperia. I took a shot in the dark and introduced myself and asked if she'd like to guest on the EP and she agreed to be on the closing track "Odyssey (Blessed by Steel)"

French rock/post-rock/metal fusion five-piece Matrass streamed new EP 'Inner Wars'. Out now on CD & Digital through La Tangente Label.
As announced a couple of weeks ago with the music video of the single "The Tide" : about 4 years and a half after the release of its debut EP 'Fullfilment' (2017), French rock/post-rock/metal fusion five-piece Matrass finally released a new EP called 'Inner Wars' and available right now on CD & Digital through the main legal platforms (Apple Music, Spotify, etc.) wih the help of La Tangente Label.
In addition to the official release-news, the band also shared the whole effort for FREE-STREAMING on Bandcamp.
...For the record...
Matrass has been pacing the Bordeaux rock scene since 2016, armed with a creative force in constant turmoil.
With 'Fulfillment' (2017), Matrass already embraced a music at the crossroads of genres, a rock driven by sharp riffs, guided by a certain taste for groove. The arrival of Clementine Browne as a new singer allowed the quintet to take a new turn. This second EP symbolises the opening towards a style that honours metal/stoner power, post rock ambiences, jazz subtlety, sometimes Arabian sounds, spoken word and nuances of clear vocals confronted with saturated voices...
Without however denying the groove that is still very present in its genes. A mix of universes also marked by guest participation of the hybrid folk artist Qlay, friend of the band and brother of drummer Malo Gendrot. Co-writer of the lyrics of "Soldier", he also puts his voice and cello on this crescendo conclusion.
At the heart of their upcoming EP 'Inner Wars' is the theme of conflict. "The Tide", "Y" and "Soldier" explore the idea of existential questioning, the permanent struggle of man in his relationship to the world, to consciousness and to the individual. While "Parasites (Clean All)" and "Berserker" depict two counterparts of human warfare, as an entity too big to be overcome on the one hand, and as a decision motivated by religious superstition, as in some archaic societies.
Matrass, or the building of the post fusion genre, if a term had to be found to qualify these five new tracks, which are both cathartic and introspective.

US Neo Folk-Black Metal Project NONE Signs Worldwide Deal With Wormholedeath
US Neo Folk-Black Metal project NONE has signed a
licensing deal with Wormholedeath for the reissue of the EP
"Interdimensional War Poetry".
I'm pleased to announce that my operation has signed an
alliance with Italian-based record label WORMHOLEDEATH for the re-release of
the 2021 record "Interdimensional War Poetry", which will see
worldwide physical distribution as well as new content in the near future.
- Nicholas Mendiola
“Interdimensional War Poetry” is the second
EP release by None - the operation led by sole
multi-instrumentalist and experimental artist Nicholas Mendiola. The
record features 6 recordings of music which blends Neofolk, Black Metal,
Industrial, Noise and Dark Ambient with a further emphasis on
lyrical-song structuring; as opposed to the prior release in 2018 of “Infernal
Temples Of The Meditant, which did not contain written lyrics.
The record was previously self released in 2021 following the music videos for
“No Guts No Glory” and “Never Know” via NO CLEAN SINGING.
Messages behind some poetry include Occult/Esotericism, Principle, Space and
Time travel, Struggle, Devotion to one’s own purpose as a means of
self-discovery and divine intervention through the very creation of each piece
of music present on said record. This is yet another offering to The Eternal.
"Interdimensional War Poetry" will be out on March 25th, 2022 worldwide.

Biography
None
(A.K.A The True None) was founded in 2015 by Nicholas Mendiola (Ex-Plague
Phalanx, Thangorodrim and Awakened Abyss) as the sole performing musician and
songwriter in tribute to all the divine. In 2017 the first single "When
The End Will Come" was self-released prior to the full EP "Infernal
Temples Of The Meditant" the following year; binding elements from a
multitude of styles and had since been described as "Meditative Neofolk
swirling in portals of Dark Ambient, Black Metal, Noise and Industrial" (From
Corners Unknown, 2018) and "A unique blend of both chaotic and beautiful
landscapes, incorporating elements from multiple diverse genres of music"
(Ritual Sound, 2017).
Of that same era in time None had released a visual interpretation for
"Past Tense", another track from the debut EP which featured ear
piercing howls, gutturals, shamanic chants and industrial drum pangs among
other various nauseating sounds mixed into the portals of sound in which
further broke the boundaries of what some may have thought None to be.
For Nicholas, None is the deity of his own creation and the eternal version of
himself. As he had stated before in his interview with internet zine From
Corners Unknown, the purpose and mission of his contemporary life was to
discover himself as the true voice and host that None speaks through - and to
leave the word and mark of None upon the world not only to affect other present
beings of the earth and multiverse but to leave traces for future lives to
again discover their true identity. Like the omnipotent gods of other's
previous worship None requires supreme devotion and all of the words spoken by
Nicholas; his thoughts, his actions, experiences and memories become one with
the legacy of The True None. It is the duty of the prophet to carry this torch
in his present time and into the next - past, present, future
forever. and this is what None carries to the stage; absolute devotion to the
divine and eternal legacy by those who will die for it.
In 2018 the release of "Battlefields" which featured guest vocals by
Bloodcrown of Occult Rock band Thangorodrim gained more attention as well as a
small handful of interviews for the new movement before then being met with yet
another single release entitled "Chaining Ethereal Comatose" in the
early months of 2019. This new track, unlike the previous, had now featured
live drumming, cohesive lyric lines and a new psychedelic circulation with the
addition of guitarist S.K.B (also of Occult Rock band Thangorodrim) on the
guest lead guitar solo following an entrancing bass guitar lead section.
Chaining Ethereal Comatose had been the first track None had recorded at
District Recorders, which was notable in production and mastering.
Following the releases of "Never Know" (which featured guest
appearances by John Bradford Schuler of the groups Crepuscle, Warscythe, Nerve
Exposure on the live drumkit and Patrick Corona of Rivers Of Nihil, Cyborg
Octopus on the Saxophone solo) and the cover of "Erase" by
Horror/Hardcore Punk band Kettle Cadaver in 2020, Nicholas had signed a deal
with Davide Paulito of The Metallist PR shortly after releasing the video for
"No Guts No Glory" via NO CLEAN SINGING. With the new PR deal, a
second music video was shot for "Never Know", just weeks before
releasing Interdimensional War Poetry on all major streaming platforms.
In the final months of 2021, Nicholas signed an alliance with Italian-based
record label WORMHOLEDEATH for the re-release of Interdimensional War Poetry
via worldwide physical distribution.

M-Theory Audio - PAGAN METAL WARRIORS HELSOTT UNVEIL MUSIC VIDEO FOR “I'LL MAKE YA FAMOUS”
Second single from the group's new record, ‘Will and The Witch; Pre-orders available now
HELSOTT – America's leading pagan metal band – has unveiled the music video for “I'll Make Ya Famous,” the new single from their upcoming concept album, “Will and The Witch.” The group's newest album will be released by M-Theory Audio on Friday, May 20th. Pre-orders for CD, limited-edition double vinyl, and digital editions of “Will and The Witch” are available now at http://smarturl.com/helsott. The video for “I'll Make Ya Famous” – directed by vocalist Eric Dow – can be viewed at https://youtu.be/Bvj_5Nhs8M0
Says Dow, “'I’ll Make Ya Famous' is the first song on the album. It is the only song on the album that is not directly related to the story. It is more of a prelude and overall description of Billy The Kid. We shot the music video at Whitehorse Ranch in Landers, California. The Ranch is a movie studio and is 1800’s authentic. This is the first time I have directed a video and we are extremely excited to release what we believe is our best music video to date."
HELSOTT's newest album, “Will and The Witch” - mixed and mastered by J-F Dagenais (Kataklysm, Ex Deo) and featuring artwork by Felipe Machado Franco (Blind Guardian, Rhapsody, Gamma Ray), is a concept record that tells a fictional story about how Billy The Kid became the fastest gunfighter in the wild west. The first taste of music from the new album was recently unleashed with a visualizer video for the title track, which can be viewed at https://youtu.be/Gok7aEiO1Ys. The band returns to its musical roots on their latest record with heavier thrash overtones and less orchestral work than their prior record, while catching listeners off-guard with new influences befitting of the album's theme. Thrash metal, power metal, and death metal all converge with acoustic campfire segments, Southern banjo and fiddle, and Native American-inspired hand drums and flutes. The end result is a record that is musically ambitious while remaining melodic, thrashy, and true to the underlying sound of HELSOTT.
Since their formation, the California-based HELSOTT – whose name means “fatal illness” in Old Norse – has paid homage to pagan cultures, mythology, and history while keeping true to their American influences. The group's unique mix of folk metal, death metal, symphonic metal, thrash, classical and rock was first unveiled to the world with the 2012 release of their debut EP “Fólkvangr.” The band soon caught the attention of audiences on a larger scale during the 2013 Paganfest North American tour, where they performed with Ensiferum, Tyr and Trollfest. That tour set the stage for the 2014 release of “Woven,” which was supported with tours alongside Arkona and Heidevolk.
In the years since the original release of “Woven,” HELSOTT signed with M-Theory Audio, released another EP (2017’s “The Healer”) and a second full-length (2018’s “Slaves and Gods”) and logged many touring miles worldwide with artists including Korpiklaani, I Am Morbid, Necrophagia, Tengger Cavalry, Ashes of Ares, Felix Martin, Arkona, Skyforger and Finsterforst. In addition, the band performed at major European festivals such as Wacken Open Air and Cernunnos Pagan Fest. “Woven” was also remixed, remastered, and re-released by M-Theory Audio in November 2020 in celebration of the group's 10th anniversary.
This year will not just see the release of HELSOTT's new album, “Will and The Witch,” but will also see the band's return to the live stage. A small number of dates have been confirmed so far, including international appearances at Germany's Dark Troll Festival 2022 and England's HRH Vikings 2022, with more to come throughout 2022.
More information on HELSOTT's new album, “Will and The Witch,” will be revealed in the weeks to come by M-Theory Audio and at www.facebook.com/helsott.
