Swiss post-hardcore/stoner power trio JIAN (RIYL : Baroness, QOTSA, Fugazi, Kylesa, Sonic Youth...) premiered new music video "Coma Sex Life" // New album 'SINOPE' out now on digital through Bandcamp.

 

A couple of months after the official release of its debut album 'Sinope', Swiss power-trio evolving between stoner-rock/metal and post-hardcore music JIAN (including member from KØDE) just premiered a brand new official music video illustrating the song "Coma Sex Life" and available right now on YouTube.

 

For reminder : due to the current Covid-19 Pandemic, the vinyl released had to be delayed to this spring and will be handle - as the digital release through the main legal platforms - by the Domino Media Group (Colossus Of Destiny, Haundead etc.) ; but in the meantime, 'Sinope' is still available as digital exclusive + full-streaming on Bandcamp.

...For the record...

Jian was born in 2016 inside a swiss basement from the union of stoner and post-hardcore music.

After a long soul searching period and experimentation with different musicians, it finally settled on the yelled voice and cyclic guitar of Adam Saint-Roch (Guitar / Lead Vocal), roaring bass by Karim Cruchon (Bass / Backing Vocal) and sustained rhythm of Sébastien Tavel (Drums).
 
Stuck in a perpetual teenage rebellion carried by heavy sounds, incisive tempos, and syncopated chords, it keeps the melodic touch of happier days, dreamt but never lived.

With the release of its first album in 2021, 'Sinope', Jian is bringing its jerricans to add fuel to the fire.

Danish Metal Band STEELBOURNE Drop New Lyric Video "Defiler"

 

"Defiler" is a track taken from Steelbourne's album "A Tale As Old As Time", due for release via Wormholedeath worldwide.

Defiler is one of the heavier tracks on the album while also being dramatic and theatrical. This one is a blast to play because of the big change in pacing between the main riffs. 

The video fits the vibe of the album perfectly, and Defiler, in particular, fits the bill of eerie medieval fantasy-vibes colliding between rampaging guitars, thunderous rhythms and majestic vocals. Please enjoy this one; Defiler! 

The album itself is classic metal at its best, inspired by giants such as Maiden, Priest, Helloween, Accept, Primal Fear, Candlemass and many more.

 

Steelbourne was initially a lockdown studio-project, designed to finish unreleased material by their previous band. As the writing escalated, the foundation for “A tale as old as time” was built - and a single spark reignited inferno. Steelbourne honor the legends of old, being deeply inspired by giants such as Judas Priest, Iron Maiden, Candlemass and Accept while incorporating contemporary elements into their music, aiming to provide a modern take on classic heavy metal.

Having played large venues both domestically and internationally, the band is no stranger to touring life either, looking forward to getting back on the road.

OPETH svelano il nuovo singolo 'Width of a Circle' e iniziano i preordini di "In Cauda Venenum (Extended Edition)"

 

Gli OPETH non hanno rivali. SINNER - firmano per Atomic Fire Records che pubblicherà il nuovo album in studio “Brotherhood” quest’estate

Atomic Fire Records dà il benvenuto al quartetto hard rock SINNER. In estate la band pubblicherà un full-length di dodici tracce, appropriatamente intitolato “Brotherhood” Prodotto dal frontman Mat Sinner e coprodotto dal chitarrista Tom Naumann, “Brotherhood” è stato registrato da Basi Roeder ai Backyard Studios e da Mitch Kunz all’Apollo 13 Audio, mentre mixaggio e masterizzazione sono a cura di Jacob Hansen agli Hansen Studios, Danimarca.
 
Il cantante/bassista Mat Sinner commenta: "Siamo enormemente felici di essere nuovi membri della famiglia Atomic Fire Records e di lavorare con molti grandi ex colleghi. ‘Brotherhood’ è semplicemente un album così solido che abbiamo bisogno della loro squadra motivata e leale per renderlo un grande successo".

Old School Death Metallers OVERTOUN Sign With Wormholedeath

 

Santiago-Boston Old School Death Metallers OVERTOUN have signed with Wormholedeath a deal for the reissue of their album "This Darkness Feels Alive", which is due for re-release on May 27th, 2022.

Overtoun signing statement: "We are truly honored and happy to sign this distribution deal with Wormholedeath. ‘This Darkness Feels Alive’ is an honest album that navigates through complex concepts of mental health, isolation, depression, etc; that came from the deepest part of ourselves. Bringing back the brutal force and sounds of Old School Death Metal mixed with Latin American music, the revolutionary young band from Santiago/Boston has been spreading their talent, passion and energy all over the world, characterized with their outstanding musical quality and powerful social commentaries.
The group was born in the hands of Agustin Lobo (drums) and Matias Bahamondes (guitars) in early 2014, but they were not complete until the addition of Mexican vocalist Yoav Ruiz-Feingold, who joined in late 2017. They’ve not stopped working since the release of their debut album Centuries of Lies (2018), which originated from a demo tape called Eyes Wide Open (2016), that establishes a strong social commentary blended by the rage of Progressive Thrash. Going through various lineup changes, their toured their home country twice, getting a lot of recognition in national and international media.
Just in the past year, the renowned bassist Felipe Leyton joined them, finishing their search for an established lineup. Their hard-working attitude led them to write and record their sophomore album in a matter of months since the release of their first LP. They took their perfectionism to another level, searching for the best production quality in every aspect. Their second album ‘This Darkness Feels Alive’ is a record that goes inside the hell of the human mind, alongside a crushing attack of pure and organic Death Metal and It will be reissued via Wormholedeath worldwide.

Credits:

This Darkness Feels Alive’ was produced/engineered/mixed by Chilean producer Pancho Arenas (Recrucide, Audiopsicotica, Austral, GEN, etc.), who exploited the band to reach their next level. The drums were recorded in the renowned Chilean studio Estudio del Sur, and it was mastered by legendary Flemming Rasmussen (Metallica) in Sweet Silence Studios, Denmark. The vocals were engineered by Anthony Medaglia (Atheist) at Sonic Titan Studios in Massachusetts, US.

The cover art was designed by the great Italian painter Paolo Girardi, best known for his work with Power Trip, Witchhunter, Blasphemographer, among other bands. This album also features musicians Joe Stump (Alcatrazz, Tower of Babel, Solo Artist) and Awka Mondaka (Nunca Seremos Dichosos) as guest artists in the tracks ‘Underneath’ and ‘Made Manifest’ respectively. The band already has two promotional tours booked in Brazil and USA postponed due to the pandemic.
